Kent Wilson
Pastor Kent joined South Drive Baptist Church as CoPastor in 2013 and became Pastor in September 2014.
Kent was raised in Northern MO and Southern IA. Although he attended church off and on throughout his childhood, he was 18 when he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. After surrendering to full time ministry he attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO and later received his Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology degrees from Antioch Baptist Seminary.
Prior to coming to South Drive in 2013, Pastor Kent served on staff in Texas and Oklahoma as Youth Pastor and as Pastor in Texas, Missouri and Kentucky.
Kent has been married to his wife Karen since 1984. She serves along side of him as the Church Secretary. They have a son, Kyle, who is a Police officer for Pasadena ISD, and a daughter, Kelsey, who is a teacher for Goose Creek ISD and works with Cool Kids Ministries. They also have three wonderful grandchildren; Abigail, Addison and Kolton.
Kent serves as Chaplain for Channelview Fire Department and is an active member of the Channelview Ministry Team.
